Bengal Cats Long Island New York
The most recently recognized color for Bengal Cats is silver. Like the other colors, silver Bengals can be found in both spotted (leopard) and marble patterns.
Very nice, clear coated silver Bengals look much like the Snow Leopard. Their background color should be clear silver, with no ticking. The spots or rosettes should be black or charcoal. There should be no brown or gold tones (referred to as tarnishing) on the silver Bengal. Some bloodlines of silver Bengals have been developed using the American Shorthair, the Eqyptian Mau and the Ocicat. There is, however, a line of silver Bengals that arose through the original Bengal lines. At Pleasant Pond we are trying to integrate the best of both bloodlines to produce beautiful silver Bengal Cats. We have been fortunate to acquire cats from Aluren and Kingsmark catteries to integrate into our Pleasant Pond silvers.
